About Urgent CareOur Urgent Care Services provide patient care for those with minor injuries and illnesses who need urgent treatment. If you are unwell and need to use the service we advise that you book an appointment first visiting 111.nhs.uk or calling NHS 111, as this will help to speed up your treatment. If you have a minor injury, you can still walk into the centres without an appointment. The team is GP-led, but includes a number of healthcare professionals, including Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Minor Injury specialists and Advanced Practitioners (Paramedics). |

History of Urgent Care
In partnership with the University Hospital of North Tees and Hartlepool Foundation Trust and the North East Ambulance Service, we designed and launched the Integrated Urgent Care Centres in April 2017.
In April 2024, we expanded our alliance to include South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and expanded the service to cover an additional two sites in South Tees.
