About RISE

In the twelve months to December 2022, more than one in five GPs under 30 left the profession. Retaining clinical expertise requires new ways of thinking that we hope to provide.

The Tees Valley RISE (Retain, Innovate, Support, Educate) is a Tees Valley wide programme designed to improve GP retention by providing ring-fenced time for learning, peer support and coaching, as well as funding for CPD activities.

History of RISE

Tees Valley RISE was launched in June 2023.

​Our team of Clinical Leads, who are all local GPs themselves, designed the programme carefully to ensure that we are delivering a flexible scheme that supports and complements clinical practice.
