Since the pilot launched in October, Footsteps has been providing support and advice for young people in Stockton who are struggling with their mental health - and receiving fantastic feedback.
The service offers a safe and friendly environment for young people aged from 11 to 19 and provides GP-led clinics, with access to GPs, Counsellors, a clinical psychologist, youth teams from the local authority and sexual health advice from Brooke.
GPs can refer young people, some young people go along themselves, some go with parents and some attend with youth groups.
The team is also working with young people to find out what activities they would like to have on site - at the moment yoga, drama and dance are the top contenders so watch this space!
We are delighted to be supporting Footsteps and we’ll continue to update you on this great work.
